Friends and freshies alike would do well to note that I am still seeking new employement. As a graphic designer by trade I spent the early days of my post-graduate life as a freelance working on projects for local business in my home town of East Grinstead, West Sussex. This kick-started a much needed portfolio of work to carve a career path from and as luck would have it, my local newspaper took an interest in my fledgling skills and took me onboard as their junior Creative Artworker. I spent a very enjoyable year creating graphics and features for the area’s local papers and the portfolio grew significantly in that time to a respectable enough size to warrent a Flickr site (look up meet_mark_ford).
But, alas, the country’s economic ruin forshortened my stay and the junior was expendible it seemed.
Since then I have returned to freelancing, when possible. I moved from Grinstead to Orpington, and back again, and now I have so much free time I can afford to start a blog. Well, that’s not the only excuse to but it fits the story for now.
Every week I find countless nuggets of information, links, music, thoughts, and witticisms; the likes of which are worth noting down for my own amusement alone.
If you’re a good friend reading this you won’t be surprised, and if you’re a casual reader who’s wandered into my musings then I hope you find something here that interests you.
